The tournament brought together some of the best independent school teams in the country, making for an intense and challenging competition.

Following an early start and a long journey, the team arrived eager yet understandably nervous.

A motivational team talk from their coach provided the confidence boost they needed before stepping onto the court.

Facing fierce competition, the team displayed remarkable resilience and skill during the group stages, securing two victories and narrowly losing three matches against strong opponents.

Their performance earned them a place in the Trophy Pool, where with outstanding teamwork and defensive strength, the squad secured a decisive win in the final match, bringing home a well-deserved trophy and individual medals.

This achievement is a testament to the squad’s exceptional commitment and the guidance of Mrs. Joseph, whose expertise and leadership have been instrumental in their success.

The team’s dedication, skill, and unity have firmly established St Gabriel’s as a formidable competitor on the national stage.

“We are incredibly proud of our Year 8 netball squad for their remarkable performance at the ISA National Finals,” said Simon James, Director of Sport at St Gabriel’s.

“Winning a trophy at this level is a fantastic accomplishment and reflects the hard work and perseverance of both the players and their coaches.

“A huge congratulations to the entire squad and heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Joseph for her outstanding dedication and support.”
