The Ladbrokes Winter Carnival was a roaring success at Newbury Racecourse once again as crowds rocked up in their numbers for the two-day meeting.
The featured race across the weekend, the £250,000 Ladbrokes Trophy, was won by Cloudy Glen - under Charlie Deutsch - and it was a poignant victory with the Venetia Williams-trained eight-year-old sporting the green, yellow and white colours of Trevor Hemmings, who died last month.
On the opening day of the two-day meeting, the Ladbrokes Long Distance Hurdle was won by the Olly Murphy-trained Thomas Darby.
On his third start over 3m he had former champion Paisley Park, who had finished in front of him in their previous clash, back in third as he finished strongly to beat On The Blind Side by two and a quarter lengths in the Grade 2 contest.
Meanwhile, Jonbon produced an impressive hurdles debut in the Play Ladbrokes 5-A-Side On Football "National Hunt" Maiden Hurdle.
As the full brother of Douvan, who cost J P McManus £570,000, expectations have been huge for the Nicky Henderson trained five-year-old.
Having previously attended the Gallops morning at Newbury the week before, Jonbon never really needed to come out of second gear to land the victory.
Overall, it was another memorable two-days of racing at Newbury, so have a look through our gallery from the Ladbrokes Winter Carnival.
