Yew Tree pub/restaurant Highclere to re-open
The property, off the A343 Andover Road, was sold for an undisclosed figure last month, after being on the market for several months, with a £1.65m price tag.
Chief Executive Officer of Cirrus Inns, Alexander Langlands Pearse, aged 41, confirmed last month the company had purchased the Yew Tree, to add to an extensive portfolio.
Mr Langlands Pearce has also said the Yew Tree would retain its name and was to remain as a country pub and restaurant, serving local clientele and sourcing food supplies locally.
The pub’s new manager, Jamie Gahan, said plans to re-open the garden had been put on ice until the summer, but confirmed the pub and restaurant were to re-open from Wednesday (September 19), with a total 11 tables available to diners.
Among previous owners of the pub was former Michelin-starred chef, Marco Pierre White, who used the Yew Tree as the location for his 2008 television series, Marco’s Great British Feast.
In April, Cirrus Inns bought the Dundas Arms in Station Road, Kintbury, for an undisclosed amount. Cirrus was co-founded by Mr Langlands Pearse, together with former Gordon Ramsey HoldIngs (GRH) executive head chef, Mark Askew
