Reading Magistrates’ Court: Theale drink-driver caught almost three times limit in Newbury
A WOMAN was caught driving after drinking almost three times the legal limit.
In the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, May 9, was Traci Wood.
The 58-year-old, of Swallowfield Gardens, Theale, admitted driving a Peugot on the A339 in Newbury on Saturday, March 11, after drinking more than the legal limit.
Tests showed 97mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath in her system.
The legal limit is 35mcg.
Ms Wood, who was legally represented by Simon Hammudi, was made subject to a 12-month community order and required to complete 80 hours of unpaid community work.
In addition, she was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £114.
Finally, Ms Wood was banned from driving for 26 months.
