A WOMAN has been sent to crown court charged with having tens of thousands of pounds worth of ill-gotten gains.
Melissa Hankinson appeared in the dock at Reading magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, February 26.
The 41-year-old is charged with acquiring, using or having possession of criminal property, namely £58,693.35 in Newbury between April 1, 2018 and April 20, 2021.
Magistrates sent the case to be dealt with by a judge and, in the event of a trial, by a jury sitting at Reading Crown Court on a date to be fixed.
Ms Hankinson, of Spoonwood Close, Basingstoke, in Hampshire, was meanwhile released on bail with conditions.
