Charity car boot sale in aid of Newbury hospital

CAR boot sales to browse in Newbury and Thatcham and a local history fair in Hungerford are among things to do and see today (Sunday) in Newbury and the surrounding local area.

The West Berkshire Community Hospital League of Friends will also host a charity fundraising car boot sale this morning, at the hospital, from 9am to 12pm. Sellers set up from 8am, Buyers entry after 9am. Entrance via the Turnpike Road entrance only. No traders. Cost £7 per car - £10 with trailer. £10 per van - £15 with trailer. The last BIG car boot sale of 2016 will take place in Thatcham today, weather permitting, at Thatcham Memorial Ground, Brownsfield Road. The car boot sale is open from 8.30am. Entry (buyers) £2 from 8.30am to 9am, £1 from 9am to 10am, 50p from 10am to close. Under 16's free. Sellers: from 8am, cars £6, vans £8, trailers £2. For those seeking relaxing entertainment, Newbury's Corn Exchange, in the Market Place, hosts the film, Girl on the Train, The mysterious thriller is based on Paula Hawkin's best selling novel.with three showings, at 12pm, 2.30pm and 5pm. 112 minutes, age guide 15.
