Return of Watermill theatre’s fundraising farmers market
Following a hugely successful first event last year, The Watermill has announced the return of its fundraising farmers market on Friday, May 9.
With even more vendors taking part this year, visitors can enjoy produce from locally-based and sustainably-minded businesses in the beautiful surroundings of the Bagnor theatre’s grounds as they come into bloom this May.
There will be more than 20 stalls offering a range of fresh artisanal food, drink and other natural produce, from cheese to honey, local wine and spirits to game and meat, to baked goods and chutneys.
Stallholders include the award-winning family-owned British organic grower, miller and organic flour producer Doves Farm; Ethel’s Pies which produces local handmade pies, sausage rolls and pastries; Stitchcombe Food’s locally reared pork, lamb, venison, beef and poultry; deluxe filled cookies handmade in Thatcham by Vanillo Cookies and award-winning artisan cheese maker Village Maid Cheese.
The Watermill’s Bar and Restaurant will be open with a delicious range of fresh seasonal refreshments, and a designated buggy park will be available.
Tickets are available now at watermill.org.uk
Priced £3, all entry fees will contribute to The Watermill’s ongoing fundraising goals towards the theatre’s future productions, engagement programmes and education initiatives.
