Wash Common brownies raise charity cash
Table top sale raised more than £100 for local Cats Protection
AN eight-year-old Brownie from Wash Common has raised more than £100 for the local Cats Protection by selling a host of her toys in a table- top sale at the weekend.
Abi Hamblin, of 3rd Wash Common Brownies, decided to sell lots of her old toys, games, books and puzzles, alongside loom bands and homemade cakes, to raise as much as she can for the animal charity.
Abi and her fellow Brownie helpers managed to raise a total of £125.20 from the table-top sale set up in her driveway on Saturday.
The Falkland Primary School pupil took the funds to Cats Protection the day after.
Proud mum Lisa Hamblin said: “Abi kindly donated so many lovely items to sell, along with some other generous local children.
“The Brownies all worked so hard running the stall and raising money for such a worthy local charity.
“I’d just like to say a huge well done to all the girls.”
