The yellow warning for heavy rain across West Berkshire has been issued by the Met Office.

Heavy rain with potential for flooding and disruption will hit West Berkshire for 17 hours across Thursday and Friday of this week.

From 5pm tomorrow (Thursday) until 10am on Friday, some locations may see up to 30mm of rain within a few hours.

Lightning and strong winds may prove an additional threat, creating slight chances of power cuts and flooding.

Driving conditions may also be difficult due to spray and flooding and the Met Office encourages drivers to allow extra time for travel.
