Vote for Thatcham charity Swings & Smiles to win £25k technology package
Thatcham-based disabled children’s charity Swings & Smiles has been shortlisted for a £25,000 technology package.
If the charity is successful, it will receive cutting-edge assistive technology, including an adapted PlayStation, accessible gaming controls, VR headsets and sensory equipment designed to create inclusive and engaging play experiences for all ages.
This technology would open up new opportunities for children with disabilities to connect, explore, and have fun in a way that suits their individual needs.
Swings & Smiles, which provides vital support for disabled children and their families, is one of only 10 organisations selected from across the UK on the shortlist.
The technology package competition is part of technology charity Lifelites’ 25th anniversary.
Lifelites CEO Rob Lightfoot said: “We are delighted to have received applications from wonderful organisations which are making a difference in their communities and helping to change the lives of children and young people through their support.
“Lifelites 25 is all about increasing access to life-changing technology and celebrating organisations delivering incredible impact for children and families.”
The final seven winners will be chosen this summer, with three selected by public vote and four by an independent panel.
Voting opens on Monday, March 10, and runs until midnight on Sunday, March 23.

A Swings & Smiles spokesperson said: “To help Swings & Smiles win this incredible opportunity, cast your vote and spread the word.”
