Vineyard names Employee of the Year

The Vineyard Group, which owns The Vineyard, Stockcross and the Donnington Valley hotels, Newbury, recently awarded Romain Bourger the title.
His prize is an all-expenses paid trip to the Peter Michael Winery in Napa, California.
Mr Bourger said: “I was really surprised, yet delighted to have won the employee of the year award.
“I’m really looking forward to visiting the Peter Michael Winery in California, meeting the team, seeing the vineyards and exploring Napa Valley.”
The managing director at The Vineyard Group, Andrew McKenzie, said: “It’s great that we can show our appreciation of staff through these awards and to reward staff for the hard work they do day in, day out to keep our guests happy and our hotels running as smoothly as possible.”
The two runners-up for the award were The Vineyard head receptionist Emma Wilson and food and beverage assistant at Donnington Valley, Zoltan Nemet, who both won a night’s stay at a Relais and Chateaux UK property of their choice.
