Theale Summer Fete to return in June

Following the success of last year's Jubilee Fete, planning is well under way for Theale’s village fete on Sunday, June 25.

The community event promises an exciting afternoon for all the family, featuring fairground rides and inflatables, lucky dip, hook a duck and soft toy tombola. Games for adults will include bowling for a pig, horseshoe and welly throwing.

The event is running at Theale Recreation Ground from 12-4.30pm and all are welcome to attend.

The arena displays will include a dog show and demonstrations from local community groups. Theale Social Club will be open for visitors to grab refreshments and enjoy music from local bands in the ‘Beer Garden’ Marquee.

New to this year’s event is the silent auction, offering guests the chance to bid for VIP tickets to Heritage Live's summer concerts at Englefield Estate, headlined by Richard Ashcroft and Hozier.

A great range of goodies will be on offer from local independent traders, including toiletries, candles, toys, crafts and homemade sweets and cakes. Pitches for stalls are still available so please contact Theale Parish Council for more details.
