New owner takes on The Bull Inn at Stanford Dingley

A new owner has taken over a village pub.

The Bull Inn at Stanford Dingley – previously under the charge of The Bladebone’s Richie Sanderson 0150 was sold to a new owner in August.

Anastasia Taylor and her husband moved to Lower Earley in April looking to begin a new venture running their own village pub.

After searching around West Berkshire, they settled on The Bull.

Mrs Taylor has a very corporate background, travelling all over Northern Europe opening new Primark stores.

But besides having a degree in hospitality, this marks the first time she has tried her hand at the pub trade.

She said: “We looked at a few pubs in the area. My wish was to run a B&B but there was nothing that ticked all our boxes.

“Then we came across The Bull, which has five letting rooms and the pub. The area is also very beautiful.

“We decided to try our luck and see if we could make it successful.”

Mrs Taylor explained the pub menu, staff and suppliers have all stayed the same, but said they have introduced a Wednesday night dinner service.

The pub is currently trading as normal. Opening times are Tuesday to Sunday from noon until 11pm.
