UPDATE: Change to Boxford Heritage Centre opening times

Boxford Heritage Centre opens on the first Sunday of every month between 2pm and 5pm.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the volunteer-run centre will now open on Sunday, May 7, rather than April 2.

The centre stores and displays an abundance of maps, photos, books and treasures chronicling Boxford's long history.

The centre also recently welcomed Berkshire's finds liaison officer, Dr Philip Smither.

Mr Smithers explained his role in identifying artefacts and small finds brought by members of the public, which he then adds to the British Museum's online database, the Portable Antiquity Scheme.

He showed slides of some of the local finds recorded and identified objects people had brought to the meeting.
