Homes planned for Newbury funeral directors

Plans have been submitted to turn a former undertakers in Newbury into semi-detached homes.

Full planning permission is sought for the change of use of the undertakers and first floor residential apartment to form two dwellings, including demolition of storage buildings at the rear and the erection of extensions at the side and rear at 15-17 Hampton Road, Newbury.

The ground floor and outbuildings have most recently been used as part of an undertakers for Turner Brothers, including office and storage.

The undertakers is currently vacant.

The first floor of the main building is a two-bedroom apartment with independent access.

The outbuildings in the south and south-west of the application site will be demolished to allow for the introduction of private amenity/garden space and parking.

The outbuildings located along the eastern boundary of the application site will be retained as storerooms.
