Traffic alert: 3-way temporary traffic lights cause gridlock on Newbury road

There are long queues on Andover Road and St John's Road in Newbury this morning.

A set of 3-way temporary traffic lights are in position at the pedestrian crossing on Andover Road, close to the junctions with Buckingham Road and Wendan Road.

The crossing is used by pupils walking to St Bartholomew's School during the morning rush hour.

Traffic is queuing all the way back to the Burger King roundabout on the A339 at the moment.
