Designer fashion store Robert Goddard in Parkway, Newbury to close on March 9

A town centre clothing shop has announced its closure less than three years since it first opened.

Designer fashion store Robert Goddard in Parkway will be closing its doors to customers for the last time on March 9.

The store is currently hosting a closing down sale with several of its products being reduced in price due to the impending closure.

Robert Goddard, which operates 10 other shops across the country, opened in the Parkway Shopping centre in July 2022.

In a statement to shoppers on its shop window, the clothing retailer said: “We’ll miss you, Newbury.

“It is with a heavy heart that we must announce the closure of this store.

“We are immensely thankful for the support of our loyal customers and our dedicated team, and we will deeply miss being part of the Newbury community.”

The statement also directed Robert Goddard customers to its nearest store in Camberley, Surrey, at 74 Park Street.
