The Woodspeen and Harrow at Little Bedwyn retain Michelin stars

Restaurants receive top accolade once again

THEY’VE both done it again. The Woodspeen in Newbury and the Harrow at Little Bedwyn have each retained their one Michelin star – the latter for the eleventh consecutive year.

The two eateries joined the growing list of restaurants in Berkshire, Wiltshire and Hampshire to gain the prestigious honour when the guide was revealed at an event in London on Monday.

Roger Jones, who owns the Harrow at Little Bedwyn, said: “It is very pleasing and great news for the whole team, they (Michelin) certainly don’t give stars away lightly.

“What makes it especially pleasing is that we employ local people to work here and John Brown, our head chef, has been with us for 17 years. He’s fantastic.
