Costa Coffee and Superdry outlets to closes in Newbury's Parkway Shopping centre

COSTA Coffee in the Parkway Centre is closing after being open for 10 years at the site.

This is following the end of the coffee chain’s lease in the shopping centre.

A Costa Coffee spokesperson, said: “We can confirm that the Costa Coffee store at Newbury Parkway will be closing on Sunday 5th September 2021, with all team members being redeployed to separate Costa Coffee stores within the local area.

"We’d like to apologise for any inconvenience the store closure may cause customers and hope to continue to serve the local community their favourite Costa coffee at the nearby stores in Newbury or via one of our Costa Express machines.”

There are plans for a drive-thru Costa to open in London Road in Newbury.

It will operate as a normal café but with drive-thru facilities, with the drive-thru running along the north side of the café – parallel with London Road.

The one-storey pod will be built in the north-east corner of the B&Q car park, close to London Road.

The Superdry Store at the Parkway Centre has also shut down after being open for 10 years.

The store is also no longer open due to their lease at the shopping centre coming to an end.

Superdry clothes can still be purchased online on the Next website and can be delivered for collection from the Next store in the Parkway Centre.

The plots are now available to rent for businesses.
