Swimming instructor nominated for regional award
Babies and toddlers across Berkshire taught to swim
A LOCAL swimming instructor who helps babies and toddlers get their ‘water wings’ has been nominated for a regional award.
Wesley Nisbet, baby swimming teacher for Water Babies Oxford has been nominated as Most Outstanding Activity Leader for the under 5s SOUTH in the (online) What’s On 4 Little Ones awards.
What’sOn 4 Little Ones is an online directory of local classes, groups and activities for children and babies and the awards celebrate the best individuals who provide activities for babies, children and parents across the UK.
Mr Nisbet has been teaching babies and toddlers to swim in Berkshire and the surrounding areas for just over eight years.
He spends the majority of his week at Elcot Park Hotel near Hungerford teaching babies from as young as a few weeks old and said he was “thrilled,” at the nomination:
“It means so much because it is the mums and dads I work with day to day who have taken the time to vote for me,” said Mr Nisbet.
“I’m so touched and really grateful to have been chosen, especially when it’s for doing a job that I love!”
Voting continues online at www.whatson4littleones.co.uk/awards.asp until May 11 and winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on June 23.
