Greenham street lights up for Christmas

A man has helped to spread some Christmas cheer – all in the name of charity.

Greenham man Steve Morgan has decorated four houses, plus a little wooded area, at Hamilton Court, Greenham, for the seventh year running.

This year, he expects to raise more than £700 worth of dog food, which he will donate to The Dogs Trust in the New Year.

Up to 60 people gathered on Sunday to see the lights switch-on showcasing his winter wonderland of lights and inflatables.

Mr Morgan, an animal lover and keen woodworker, makes and sells wooden reindeer, snowmen and robins to support different charitable causes each year.

“Every penny I have made has gone into this,” he said.

Although hard work and a month in the planning, Mr Morgan said he enjoys the process and plans to support children’s charity Daisy’s Promise next year.
