Storm Darragh causes water issues in West Berkshire
Storm Darragh has caused water pressure issues for several postcodes in and around Newbury.
Thames Water is currently listing RG18-which covers the areas of Thatcham, Hermitage, Cold Ash, Yattendon, and Hampstead Norreys-as having low or no water pressure.
High winds caused by the storm have affected the power supply to a number of different water treatment works and pumping stations across the area.
Earlier in the evening, RG14 (Newbury), RG17 (Hungerford), RG19 (Thatcham) and RG20 (North Hampshire) were also listed on the Thames Water website, but have since been removed.
A Thames Water spokesperson said: “We're working with the various power supply companies to get power restored as soon as possible.
“Once the power is back on, we'll get the water flowing again. We're working to get this fixed as quickly as possible.”
