Reading Magistrates’ Court: Stalking case against Newbury man is dropped




A MAN accused of stalking has been acquitted after a court ruled there was no case to answer.

In the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, May 30, was Leslie Lovelock.

The 66-year-old, of Talbot Close, Newbury, had been charged with stalking Dawn Humphrey, causing her serious alarm or distress in Newbury between December 26 last year and Thursday, April 13.

Mr Lovelock pleaded not guilty to the single charge at a previous hearing.

On Tuesday, the case against him was dismissed after no evidence was offered.
