Ramsbury salon Angharad Beck Hair hosts business event celebrating female-founded brands
An award-winning hair salon in Ramsbury hosted the inaugural edition of an annual event celebrating women in business and femininity.
Angharad Beck from Angharad Beck Hair invited several female business founders to her salon at Crowood House to showcase their businesses and brands to an audience of over 100 people.
The event was named Aphrodite after the ancient Greek goddess of love, and it allowed Ms Beck to share her space with female-founded local brands that share the same holistic, organic and feminine ethos as she does.
Ms Beck said: “Since the first moment I set eyes on my space, before even any of the renovation had been done, I knew I wanted to host events, so I am delighted that I have finally been able to do it and to do it with these other fantastic businesses has been a dream come true.
“We had a wonderful day celebrating not only our brand ethos, but also championing our businesses in such a difficult economic climate.
“I’d like to thank all the brands involved in Aphrodite and the event partners and sponsors, for making it a fabulous event.
“Planning has already started for next year and I am so excited to evolve Aphrodite and see what the future holds.”
There were several skincare brands at the event such as Milestone Aesthetics, Tropic, Equiblium Skin Clinic and Holistic Beauty Salon.
Second-hand clothing specialists Worn, accessory makers Sookitwist and home décor company Elm and Grey were also present on the day.
Guests at the Aphrodite event enjoyed a Ramsbury Gin and tonic on their arrival at 2pm, and in the evening The Sing Space Musical Theatre Choir performed at sunset.
