Thatcham Rotarians partner with Szechuan Inn to raise whopping sum for charity




Thatcham & District Rotary Club has continued its fundraising endeavours.

The Szechuan Inn, located in Thatcham High Street, recently hosted more than 60 Thatcham Rotarians, their partners and guests for the ‘Emperor’s Feast’ fundraising event.

Club president Maurice Franks said the event was a great success, raising an estimated total of £1,500.

Members enjoyed a selection of food and drink, along with a first-class raffle.

Former Thatcham mayor and longstanding Rotarian Mike Cole (Lib Dem, Thatcham North East) was presented his raffle prize by Jeffrey Wu, of the Szechuan.

The annual event is supported by Vodafone and the Szechuan.

Thatcham Rotary Club, formed in 1982, supports local, national and international charitable causes through a range of fundraising activities each year.
