A red weather warning has been issued by the Met Office today in preparation for the effects of Storm Eunice this weekend.

In response to this, Thatcham’s Nature Discovery Centre is closing its car park due to the high winds likely to affect the area.

Storm Eunice’s extremely strong winds are expected to cause damage to buildings and homes, falling trees, large coastal waves and significant travel restrictions in red weather areas.

The warnings are only in effect tomorrow, with the weather likely to be less severe over the rest of the weekend.
