Racecourse bridge to be open permanently from next week
Route will only be open to Racecourse traffic
THE bridge linking Newbury Racecourse with Hambridge Road is set to be opened on a daily basis from Tuesday.
The bridge over the railway line is currently open to racecourse traffic on race days only.
However, from Tuesday morning it is to be opened permanently, becoming the main access to the Racecourse buildings, including the Nuffield gym.
Bollards will be in place next to the Rocking Horse Nursery, preventing access to and from the Stroud Green end of the development, although gym members and Racecourse vehicles will still be allowed through.
