Power cut affecting town centre business




A large power cut is affecting Newbury town centre this afternoon (Wednesday).

The unplanned outage is due to a fault on the underground network.

Bartholomew Street and West Mills are currently among the areas without power.

Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks said its engineers were on the scene and trying to fix the fault.

It added that it expected to restore power by 4.30pm.
