UPDATE: Police issue witness appeal following ‘serious’ road traffic collision on A34 near Newbury




UPDATE: Hampshire Constabulary is appealing for witnesses after a serious multi-car crash shut a major road on Saturday.

As part of its continuing investigation, police now wish to speak to any motorists who joined the A34 northbound from the A343 at around 11am on Saturday, July 27.

Two men suffered serious, but non life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision involving two military vehicles on the A34 between the A343 and A4 (Newbury and Wash Water)

Police have confirmed a man in his 30s suffered a serious injury to his leg and was taken to hospital.

A man in his 20s suffered a serious injury to his arm and was also taken to hospital.

Both the northbound and southbound carriageways were reopened by 10.41pm on Saturday right after they had previously been shut so emergency services could deal with the incident.
