Police hunt "suspicious" man seen in Hungerford

The man was seen in a white panel van on the road from Hungerford Common towards Sanham Green, at about 8am on January 17.
He was blowing a whistle which attracted the attention of a dog that was being walked there.
The dog initially ran towards the sound of the whistle, but was called back by its owner.
The man then got in the vehicle and drove off towards Sanham Green.
Police say they suspected the man was attempting to steal the dog as there were no other dogs in the vicinity.
