Police hunt gang following attack in Newbury
Between 6.30pm and 7pm, a 27-year-old man was walking along Bartholemew Street with a friend when they were followed by three men.
He was then hit on the back of the head.
The offenders continued to follow the victim and were seen phoning someone to “get the boys over”.
A few moments later, another offender cycled towards the victim and punched him a number of times. He fell to the floor and was kicked several times.
It left him with a number of bruises all over his body.
The first offender was wearing a grey hooded top and dark blue jeans.
The second was white, aged 21 or 22, with short black hair and an olive-skinned complexion. He was of athletic build and around 5ft 9ins tall.
The third offender was white, aged 21 or 22, with brown hair, “goofy” teeth and of slim build.
He was around 5ft 8ins tall and was wearing a black quilted coat similar to a Barbour jacket.
