Police clampdown on e-scooters in Newbury town centre

Police seized two e-scooters in Newbury town centre on Friday.

The Newbury Neighbourhood Policing Team stated: “[We] responded to community concerns regarding the use of e-scooters in the town centre.

“We conducted an operation aimed at addressing these issues and successfully seized two e-scooters, one illegal e-bike, and one uninsured moped.”
