Peter Pan panto comes to the Fieldgate Centre in Kingsclere this Christmas
Prepare to take a trip to Neverland during this year’s Christmas pantomime performances by the Kingsclere Players.
The amateur dramatics group will be bringing Peter Pan – The Pantomime to life over the next two weeks at the Fieldgate Centre.
The play was adapted and written by Alex Jackson and the players promise to bring the beloved children’s story to life on stage, with a healthy dose of panto comedy to boot
A Kingsclere Players spokesperson said: “Get into the Christmas spirit with the Kingsclere Players production of Peter Pan – The Pantomime.
“Come and support this community-based amateur dramatics group and be transported into the story of the boy who never grew up – with a panto twist of course.
“Guaranteed fun for all the family.”
The first performance is tomorrow (Friday) at 7.30pm, followed by two performances on Saturday and an afternoon performance on Sunday.
Next weekend there will be three performances, including a meet and greet event with all the characters following the show at 11am on Saturday, December 2.
This special morning performance is aimed at children and their families and it will have VIP guests from Thatcham-based disabled children’s charity Swings and Smiles.
To book tickets, visit ticketsource.co.uk or purchase through the Fieldgate Centre. Adult tickets cost £12.50 and children £7.50. All shows are all-age appropriate.
The Kingsclere Players have an illustrious history in the North Hampshire village.
It’s believed the group originally formed after the Second World War before putting on intermittent performances over the next 20 years.
Historical records show it came back to life in 1964 with a production of Doctor in the House a year later.
Meetings and rehearsals were held at The Crown with the productions taking place in the old village school, now the site of the Kingsclere Medical Practice.
