Open morning to find new landlords for Kingsclere pub

Pub owners, Enterprise Inns, confirmed that the Grade II listed Victorian Tudor, Crown Inn, in Newbury Road, had recently closed, with notices posted on the door and windows and a ‘To Let’ sign erected outside the pub.
Former publicans, Gary Mackintosh and his wife, Karen, who lived-in at the pub with their family, took over the pub in September last year.
However, a statement from Enterprise Inns, said: “We can confirm that the Crown closed in March following the publican's decision to cease trading.
“Our aim is for the pub to resume trading as soon as possible and we are actively recruiting for a new publican with the passion and drive to establish this business as a destination venue whilst maintaining its local appeal and position at the heart of the community.”
Enterprise will now host an open morning at the pub today (Tues) for prospective new landlords to have a look around and ask questions.
