The Watership Brass will be performing in aid of the Poppy Appeal at Newbury RBL on Saturday, November 11 at 7.30pm. Tickets are available on its website.

A Spitfire plane is also returning to Parkway on November 10 and 11. Local schools have been invited to view it.

Please contact Angela Logue at angelalogue1@outlook.com or 07982491695 to support the appeal.

Newbury’s Remembrance Sunday Parade and Service will be held on Sunday, November 12.

The main parade, which will feature two buglers, will commence at 10.30am at Pelican Lane and march through Northbrook Street.

The procession will turn into Mansion House Street and onto the Market Place, where the Mayor of Newbury, Nigel Foot, will begin the service.

The parade will march past the War Memorial where wreaths will be laid on the way into St Nicolas Church.

Newbury’s parade will be preceded by one at Speen and followed by further parades at Beedon and Didcot, says Mrs Logue.
