Newbury Racecourse unveils new Summer Evening Series, to complement its Party in the Paddock concerts, with Tom Jones and Olly Murs
Newbury Racecourse has unveiled a new Summer Evening Series, with three big race day parties arranged across July, writes Summer Hyde.
The race day parties – held on Thursday 6, Thursday 13 and Thursday 27 – will see summer vibes disembark at Newbury Racecourse with the landing of The Gin Garden, The Rum Shack and The Cocktail Club.
Themed after parties succeed an evening of racing each day, as the fresh Summer Evening Series substitutes the racecourse’s Gin Thursdays.
There will be a whole array of themed, festival-style food and drink, to complement the on-track excitement and off-track entertainment – live music during the racing and a post-racing DJ set.
The first night will see the Gin Garden bring over 30 gins, before the Rum Shack arrives the following week with live reggae music and traditional Caribbean cuisine.
The series rounds off with the Cocktail Club and a classic Ibiza sunset vibe.
Harry Walklin, marketing director at Newbury Racecourse, said: ‘’We’re excited to be able to unveil our new Summer Evening Series and this July’s race day parties. The race days offer the perfect blend of flat racing, food and drink and music and we look forward to welcoming friends, family and colleagues alike to party with us this summer.’’
The racecourse’s summer entertainment continues with its Party in the Paddock race days also returning in July and August.
Sir Tom Jones performs as part of Weatherbys Super Sprint Day on Saturday, July 22, before Olly Murs takes to the stage during BetVictor Hungerford Day on Saturday, August 19.
