Newbury Power nightclub is opening tonight

Power is a next generation luxury nightclub.

The club will open its doors to Newbury partygoers from 9pm tonight at 4a Kennet Centre, Newbury.

General manager, Dave Kearns, said: "Our main aim is to build a business that adds value to the local community and town. We have worked day and night over the past few months to make the nightclub ready in time for Christmas. We are here to deliver what people of Newbury has been asking for in the past few months and bridge the gap in the town's nightlife.

"The building was in a very bad condition when we took over and it was challenge to bring it back to a similar standard as our other venues. The extreme cold weather in the past few days didn't help either, but with all the hard work of our colleagues we have managed to make this happen before the end of the festive season.

"The venue now consists of a world class sound system and lighting and we are excited for locals to come and experience this. We aim to bring the best artists to town, so no more travelling miles away to see your favourite artists."

Playing at tonight's grand opening is international DJ, Craig Night, and drum and bass DJ, Kilo Davies.

Mr Kearns added: "Currently, we are only opening our main room, while the second room is still being worked on. We are shaping this into a cocktail bar with a Tiki interior theme. With our vast and unique cocktail menu, customers can come enjoy the Power vibes well before the nightclub opens and get into the groove to party into the night.

"Last but not the least, we are always open to any feedback from customers and locals to provide you with the best service and it is our top priority to work in collaboration with other local businesses and the Newbury authorities."
