Derek Peaple will battle seven others for national award

THE head of Park House School has been shortlisted for the coveted title of Headteacher of the Year at the national Times Education Supplement (TES) Awards.

The TES School Awards is now in its eighth year, offering awards in 17 different categories to independent and state schools across the country.

Park House School headteacher Derek Peaple was given the nod on April 15. The winners of the Headteacher of the Year award will be revealed at a gala awards evening at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on Friday, June 24.

Mr Peaple will square off against seven other headteachers from all across the country to be named the most ‘inventive and inspirational headteacher’ at the annual awards.

He said: “I am both humbled and privileged to have received this nomination, thanks to the amazing work and support of brilliant Park House students, staff, parents and governors.

“It is a reflection of how wonderfully our school community works together.”
