Newbury Bridge Club boosts children's charity

Members of Newbury Bridge Club raised an impressive sum for charity last week.

The club presented Helen Randal from PALS – a local charity supporting children and young people with physical disabilities for more than 20 years – with a cheque for £4155.46 on November 29. The funds were raised by the bridge club over the last year.

It raised the donation through raffles, with more than £3,500 being raised at the club's charity dinner and auction of items donated by members.
