New petrol station proposed at Sainsbury's Tadley branch

Early February determination date

SAINSBURY’S Tadley branch could see the construction of a new petrol station, if a planning application proves successful.

Sainsbury’s Supermarkets Ltd has applied to Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council to erect a four-pump, manned filling station to include a kiosk, jet wash and staff, following the demolition of an existing building, at Old Kiln House, in Silchester Road.

The supermarket, which has a large branch in Mulfords Hill, has also lodged a separate planning application for the display of various illuminated and non-illuminated signs at the Old Kiln House site.

The applications have determination dates of February 4 and February 1 respectively.
