Surf ‘n’ Fries in Thatcham Broadway rebrands as Burgers On The Corner with new look and menu
A Thatcham restaurant has rebranded and is launching a new menu tonight (Thursday).
Surf ‘n’ Fries quickly became known for its crispy, fluffy chips after opening just over year ago in Thatcham Broadway.
But it has now rebranded as Burgers On The Corner, offering a variety of beef, venison and chicken burgers using meat sourced from farms in Chieveley, Hermitage and Cold Ash.
“It couldn't be more local unless it was grazing on The Broadway,” founder Tim Prizeman told newburytoday.
And explaining the reason for the rebrand, Mr Prizeman, from Wantage, added: “We’ve evolved over the past year to focus on selling meat, particularly for burgers. And we want to emphasise that.”
But don’t worry – the restaurant’s much-loved chips will stay on the menu, as Mr Prizeman explained:
“The gourmet chips are a thing almost everyone wants, so we'll definitely be keeping those.”
The father of three opened the restaurant last year following the success of his Surf ‘n’ Fries trailer, which took to music festivals.
Now he has a permanent location in the centre of Thatcham.
