The new kitchen at the Ambrose Allen Centre in Franklin Avenue comes with completely new fittings and appliances and it has been designed to cater to a wide range of community needs.

The new kitchen project was partially funded by grants of £12,810 from Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council’s community infrastructure fund and £2,800 from Helping Hands in Tadley, the former charity shop also located on Franklin Avenue that closed its doors for good in 2023.

Ambrose Allen Charity spokesperson Nicki Barry said: “This significant upgrade was made possible through generous grant funding and community support, furthering the charity’s objective which is to provide support to the elderly and to those in need.

“With new appliances and improved facilities, it will enhance the charity’s ability to support its user groups

“The Ambrose Allen Charity is immensely grateful to the grant funders who have helped make this possible.

“Their contributions have ensured that the Ambrose Allen Centre remains a welcoming and resourceful space for all.”
