Newbury motorist Stuart Nicholls caught drug-driving

A MOTORIST took cocaine before getting behind the wheel.

Stuart Nicholls appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Monday, March 31.

The 47-year-old, of Langford Way, Thatcham, admitted driving a BMW 1 Series on the A339 at Newbury on September 24 last year when the amount of the Class A-controlled drug in his system exceeded the specified limit.

Nicholls, who has previous convictions and who was legally represented by Paul Cantrill, was fined £120.

In addition, he was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £48.

Finally, Nicholls was banned from driving for 12 months.
