Thatcham motorist Gareth Lewis caught drug-driving

A MOTORIST who got behind the wheel after taking cannabis has been landed with a £785 bill.
Gareth Lewis appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, March 11.
The 46-year-old, of Mersey Way, Thatcham, admitted driving a Honda Jazz on Hambridge Road, Newbury, on November 28 last year when the amount of the Class B-controlled drug in his system exceeded the specified limit.
Lewis, who was legally represented by Simon Hammudi, was fined £500.
In addition, he was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £200.
Finally, Lewis was banned from the roads for 12 months.
