Motorcycle rider in critical condition after Thatcham crash
Motorcycle and car collided on the Bath Road on Friday (3) evening
A MOTORCYCLE rider is currently in a serious but critical condition after being involved in a collision with a car on Friday (3).
The incident happened on Bath Road, between the Floral Way and Pipers Way roundabouts, at around 7pm.
THames Valley Police have confirmed that a black and silver Skyjet motorcycle was involved in a collision with a red Vauxhall Corsa on the Newbury bound carriageway.
The motorcycle rider, a 40-year-old man from Reading, was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford with serious injuries and is today (Monday)in a critical condition.
Pc Melanie Todd, from the Three Mile Cross Roads Policing Base, said: “I am keen to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident.
“I am also keen to speak to the driver of a heavy goods vehicle that may have witnessed the motorcycle on the roundabout junction with Pipers Way just prior to the collision.”
