Michael Middleton takes first official portrait of new prince and family

The village was thrust into the media limelight in the weeks before the birth of the prince, who is third in line for the throne, but residents report life has since returned to normal.
Chairwoman of Bucklebury Parish Council, Wynne Frankum, said the media presence in the village had died down a week after Prince George arrived in Bucklebury and added that the village had not attracted tourists to the same extent as the royal wedding.
“It’s all gone fairly quiet,” she said. “I think we are all very pleased that it’s died down and they are being left in peace.”
On the family portrait, she added: “They all look extraordinarily well and extraordinarily happy and just what a young family should look [like].
“It’s marvellous to have such informal pictures taken by his (Prince George’s) grandfather.”
Owner of L Interiors Lynda Tillotson, who helped design a mug to mark the royal birth, added: “That’s a cracking photo, it’s wonderful.
“I love the fact that it’s in their garden [and] Mike’s taken it.
“It’s exactly what they said they would do.”
She agreed that there had been fewer tourists in the village compared to the wedding, but added that the mug was still selling well, having attracted a global audience.
“I had one lady who had come from the Philippines,” she said. “She was practically shaking when she came in the shop.
“You get your royalists, they just love them.”
