Prior's Court best foot forward in fundraising challenge for autism charity

A determined fundraiser is putting her best foot forward in a marathon challenge to support Prior's Court, a charity supporting young people with complex autism needs.

Learning and development manager Jenny Peacock, from Thatcham, is taking part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon fundraising for the Hermitage-based charity.

She will complete the event on Sunday, April 2.

"I was inspired to do the half marathon as I have never completed one before and a personal goal for me was to do one before turning 50," she explained.

"Training is going well, though my top tip is don't live on top of a hill, as it means every time I run I finish my route by having to run up a hill."

Her run will help raise money for the charity's Performing Arts Centre fundraising appeal.

"I really believe in the work done at Prior's Court and having access to an arts centre will be huge for our young people and will broaden their experiences," she added.

The Let Me Shine Performing Arts Centre will feature adapted facilities to enable people with complex autism to access opportunities in music, dance and drama and the life-enriching benefits these provide.
