Reading Magistrates’ Court: Newbury man denies causing fear of violence
A MAN has denied committing an offence which was likely to provoke violence.
In the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, May 10, was Elliott Lloyd DaSilva.
The 29-year-old, of Dolton Mews, off West Mills in Newbury, is accused of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour likely to cause fear of, or provoke, unlawful violance in Newbury on Sunday, February 5.
Mr DaSilva, who was legally represented by Catherine Brymer, spoke only to confirm his details and to deny the single charge.
He was told the case could proceed no further that day and magistrates adjourned it for a trial to be arranged.
Mr DaSilva was meanwhile granted unconditional bail.
