Boxford man Paul Kidling denies ABH assault

A MAN is due to stand trial at the crown court charged with a serious assault.

Paul Kilding appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, March 19.

The 59-year-old, of Winterbourne Road, Boxford, is accused of assaulting Isaac Batley, thereby causing him actual bodily harm, in Winterbourne on Sunday, February 23.

Magistrates declined further jurisdiction and sent the case to be dealt with by a judge and, in the event of a trial, by a jury sitting at Reading Crown Court on a date to be fixed.

Mr Kidling, who was legally represented at the hearing, was meanwhile released on unconditional bail.
