Lambourn man Stephen Clancy charged with assault by beating

A VILLAGER has been charged with assault.

On Tuesday, February 4, Reading magistrates held a preliminary hearing into the case against Stephen Clancy.

The 47-year-old, of Baydon Road, Lambourn, is accused of assaulting his victim by beating him in Lambourn on July 21 last year.

Magistrates adjourned the case until a later date when Mr Clancy will be expected to appear and to enter a plea to the single charge.

He was meanwhile granted bail with conditions.
